Attorney General Pam Bondi tells a member of a co-equal branch of government during a public hearing: “You don’t tell me anything, you washed-up loser lawyer.” The disdain for our own government is appalling. This administration is destroying our democracy.

If all these rich men "regret" their time with Epstein then why didn't they announce prior to the release of the files that their names would be part of the collection? Why didn't they self-report? The answer is they are not sorry and have no regret. They are sorry and regret they got caught.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

The Washington Post laid off one-third of its staff, despite being owned by the fourth-richest man on the planet.

Billionaire control of the media is a threat to the free press.

Newly released files illustrate how Jeffrey Epstein courted lucrative tech deals and buzzy start-ups — some of which would become pillars of today’s tech industry. Despite growing scrutiny of his abuse of teenage girls and young women, Epstein was aided by entrepreneurs along the way.
Files Reveal Epstein’s Money Mingled with Silicon Valley’s Tech Start-Ups
The disgraced financier regularly courted tech industry figures not just for their prestige but also for access to promising companies.

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.

Retiring Walmart CEO Doug McMillon made $27M last year, over 930 times the median Walmart worker's salary of just $29,469.

Walmart's wages are so low that its workers are among the most likely to rely on SNAP and Medicaid to get by.
