Reminded of and crying about the fact that Rev. Budde is also the person who provided Matthew Shepard's family with a safe haven for their son's remains.

This is the person these fascists trying to brand themselves as Christians are targeting with hate, right now.

'You Are Safe Now': Matthew Shepard Laid To Rest At National Cathedral
Twenty years ago, the brutal killing of a young gay man in Laramie, Wyo., drew national attention and led to an expansion of a federal hate-crimes law.

Libraries. Good for your wellbeing.
This is really interesting. Groundbreaking study on the value of libraries and “third places.”

“A whopping 82% of people who used the library’s physical space and 79% of people who physically attended programs reported more optimism regarding the future, compared to only 58% of digital-only users.”
Innovative Study by UPenn and NYPL Finds That Public Libraries Positively Impact Community Health and Well-Being
"Our research found that patrons experience refuge, joy, connection, purpose, and expansion through their library use"

Bravo to former Canadian PM Jean Chrétien. This rebuttal to the bluster from the incoming US president is exactly on point. Gift article.

Looking for a non-childish daily journal/diary app. Preferably free or inexpensive. I have an android. There are so many to wade through on Google play! Any leads?

Brokenhearted about the passing of Matthew Perry. What a talent. I hope he is at peace. 💔😢

So, I've had a brutal few days. Anxiety, asthma attack, two medical appointments, therapy, and appointment with the bank. I am freaking SPENT.

The D@nny M@sterson headline has me feeling all sorts of rage/anxiety again. Those poor women. Glad he will rot in prison.

Need a technician STAT to service my mini-split, which has decided not to do cool air (unit only 3 years old). My regular technician hasn't responded to my calls. Help! #stjohns #newfoundland #somuggy

Started CBD oil capsules tonight. Hopeful it will take the edge off the pain. I know they take a few days to get in your system. Please cross your fingers for me, and send healing vibes!

Going to attempt to get my back x-ray again today. Went to the health sciences yesterday, drove around 20 min, looking for parking, and then firetrucks showed up (?) and I was told they weren't letting anyone in!

So, I guess I have to figure out how to live with chronic pain. It's been months of this. Can't really afford much more physio. Taking some pain meds but too afraid of addiction to take too many. I'm sad and frustrated. 😢

Sensory overwhelm at a high tonight. Wearing my headphones, had a cup of tea, and took an anxiety pill. Hopefully I'll feel a little better tomorrow.

I got my semester grades submitted, and only used one day of my medical extension to do it! Hallelujah. Maybe now my back can really get some rest.
