Roads are wet and treacherous this am.

We have various collisions right now:

Hwy 102/104 merge near Onslow

Hwy 104 near Havre Boucher

Hwy 102 near Enfield

And Hwy 7 near Lake Echo

Drive with caution this morning, folks! #HFXTraffic #NSTraffic

#halisky the 102 inbound is heavy, but moving (knock on wood)

But something happened on the 102 outbound. Two firetrucks and an ambulance all with lights and sirens. I have passed me.

Annual tomato sauce making day yesterday was a success! (I’ve made a couple small batches too)

Was able to make it entirely out of the garden this year and it’s delicious!

I can hear drizzle on tree leaves and tinkling in the gutter, feel it on my face, and see the dampness on the ground.

I can smell the smoke from Bayers Lake too.

So incredibly grateful for this weather.

Do not operate drones in a wildfire area. It is illegal. It can interfere with our firefighting efforts. The fine is $25,000 under the Forests Act, there could be fines under federal legislation as well.

Turned right onto the Bay Rd fr the 103. Coast was clear. Immediately a huge black GMC truck laying on the horn, trying to avoid rear ending me. He was going SO fast. Was behind me until I turned off & laid on his horn again as he passed me.

He was so angry.

He came so close to crushing my kid.

What a great beach day. The kids built an amazing sandcastle (I helped a bit, making those towers is fun!), and the water was clear with a decent surf to play in.
