The crime of genocide didn't exist until after WW2. It was something we decided was real, needed to be identified and punished. Even if we've been spectacularly bad at putting it in practise, we conceptualised it.

The actual Dispatch segments are great little puzzles, and each episode adds a new wrinkle.

Last night has me feeling hopeful about things I haven’t felt hopeful about in a long time. We need to take the lessons of the Mamdani campaign and bring them to every election possible. There’s a wave of historic anti-conservative, anti-establishment sentiment, and we can ride it to a better world.

Bingo. The only problem I have with being trans is the way cis people treat me. I would never go back and I regret absolutely nothing besides not doing it sooner.
despite all the fear mongering about trans people and the attempts to abandon and actively harm us from both political parties in the US, transitioning is still the greatest decision i’ve ever made, only regret i have is not doing it younger, and that it has only made my life infinitely better

I wouldn’t bet money on it necessarily, but how likely is it that the AWS outage is because they pushed an update to something that was like 90% coded by AI, and it broke something, but they have no way of knowing what the hell broke or how to fix it because no person was involved in the breaking?

I’m deep into my journey to the Platinum on Ghost of Yotei. I’ve really enjoyed it, especially playing on Lethal. But the thing I keep coming back to, the thing I can’t get out of my head, is that Atsu and Oyuki are RIPE for fanfic. Immaculate, messy, glorious yuri fodder.

I’m deep into my journey to the Platinum on Ghost of Yotei. I’ve really enjoyed it, especially playing on Lethal. But the thing I keep coming back to, the thing I can’t get out of my head, is that Atsu and Oyuki are RIPE for fanfic. Immaculate, messy, glorious yuri fodder.
Ghost of Yotei has some secret S-tier yuri fodder, and it’s a shame I haven’t seen more discussion of it. We’re talking prime grade age gap, enemies to lovers toxic yuri material. Gotta turn the fanfic girlies onto this shit.

Bears can be scary in plenty of video games, but I don’t think any have scared me as bad as the bears in Ghost of Yotei. I just hear a roar and one of those big furry motherfuckers is on me like Kuma from Tekken.

Brennan Lee Mulligan really didn’t come here to pull punches, did he? Gets a huge new soapbox to stand on and he immediately is like “let’s talk about authoritarian control over public education.” I’m thrilled to see it addressed, but I was not expecting the specificity. #criticalrole #campaign4

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

I really hope Erika Ishii gets their flowers for Ghost of Yotei. I’m only a few hours in, but it’s an excellent performance so far. Lots of subtle facial work and nuanced inflection. Superb stuff. #ghostofyotei

Campaign 4 of Critical Role has really grabbed me. Structurally, tonally, it feels like a big swing, for everyone involved. I mean that in the best way. I’m only an hour in, but I think I’m here for the ride. And I think I was in from the moment Brennan started talking. #criticalrole
