Trying to channel my anger and sorrow into my writing. Trying even harder to include my joy there too.
This is what trans educators have nightmares about. Having their discretion (and their job) stripped away, all as part of some transparent hatchet job aimed at their entire demographic.

The shittiest part is that it’s working. So many of us are abandoning education for our own well-being.

The wildest thing about this is that as much as it sucks shit, it’s also a single assignment grade, with robust feedback provided. The student would have the the opportunity to implement feedback on future work and likely still pass or even excel in the course. What harm is even been claimed here?

I’m also in love with this cast of characters. I could go on at length about each and every role, but in the interest of brevity, I will say that I didn’t regret romancing Invisigal for a second, and that I wish I’d gotten more time with the likes of Malevola and Punch-Up.

Fascism is a paper tiger, frightening but weak. It pretends to greater power than it can bring to bear. Fight it everywhere, from every direction, all the time. It will crumble.

This country runs on thousands of local and state officials, and the elections that determine who they will be frequently go unnoticed and unchallenged. Worried about education? Join the school board. The environment? Look at the soil and water commission.

Contrary to what the pundits have been saying, you do not have to sell out any vulnerable groups to win big. If you campaign on policies that will help the common person, you can win.

And I do mean you. If nobody good is running for a particular office, then run yourself.

You aren’t the big RPG hero who can save the world. Hawke is an exceptionally talented person, but they still feel like a human being. They can slay a dragon, but they can’t hold back the tide.

Honestly, an imperfectly perfect game. I love that it works because of the REMOVAL of player agency on the macro level. The choices you make matter to the characters around you, but the big events of the narrative are inexorable. They can’t be stopped, they can barely be slowed down.

I had completely forgotten the theme song, and then I tried to share the show with my wife and got jumpscared.

It’s not even just that it’s bad, it just doesn’t gel with what the show is AT ALL
