I just want to apologies to those I started interacting with so much at the beginning of Feb. I started out Feb strong, doing 5-7 daily question posts, and a 1k word short story every day. Back around valentines I took 2 days off and have struggled to get

I haven't had time to write the last week but I did binge some audio books including all 4 available in this series and I highly recommend it to #system and #litrpg fans. Great world building, unique tools, lack of harem, and some compelling struggles.

#WordWeavers 20. Does the society your characters live in take good care of people with disabilities?

Look at the current day and kinda tell me. Although with what's going on it will be getting slightly worst in this small town...

#WordWeavers 19. SC POV: Who is your best friend?

Unnamed Side Character: It's the bartender of course. He's the only one who listens, only one who cares. Everyone else has left me and moved on.

#WritersCoffeeClub Feb 20 —How commercially minded are you? Would you object to selling a hundred thousand books?

I'm not, I'd rather have my writing just on the internet for 100k people to read it than hear one person say they'd love to read it but cant afford a copy.
February 20, 2025 at 4:23 PM
#WritersCoffeeClub 19 Feb: Do some stories resonate as a call to action, like “do something like this, but in a different way” or “adapt this for the screen”?

I think so. Some are meant to bring attention to a problem, others resonate as a call to create a world, "The Call of Cthulhu," for example

#AskAnAuthor
Since not a lot is known about me to being with there probably isn't to much yet that would surprise people here. What people who do know me but don't know my work are often surprised to learn is that I currently work in Private Christian Education.
2️⃣0️⃣ What’s something about you that most people would be surprised to learn?
A hidden talent? A past career? A random fun fact? Let’s hear it!

So my initial thought was absolutely! But before I wrote my reply I thought about it and realized the answer for me is 'Kinda'. In most cases its actually the making a cocktail that helps spark my creativity. Or drinking a drink that fits the setting/character/scene I'll be focused on.
1️⃣9️⃣ Does a drink or a puff help you get in the zone?
Does alcohol or cannabis (legally consumed!) boost your creativity or derail your focus?

Then he opened another pouch and pulled out a padded black leather sleeping mask, several cut lengths of black and green polypropylene cored rope, and finally a sign that said ‘Photo Shoot in Progress, Please announce your presence.'

As his senses all came back into focus after being off for the last couple hours, maybe 2 since through the window he could see it was still dark, he felt a wet spot against his leg which made him flinch but then brought back the memories of his escapades before going to bed.
The #WIPSnips word for February 19 is "sense"

I am SENSING some forthcoming information about the #WSPIT (formerly WIPSnipsPit) Author Hype Event coming up in ONE WEEK.

I'm autistic and pour myself into my fiction. My work usually includes a disconnect of how the narrator perceives reality compared to others; most of my protagonists are fae, dolls, or some manner of undead. It's why I like child narrators. I also favour motifs of nature and decay

The spectre of environmental destruction nearly always looms large in my work. Beta readers have noted there's very often some strains of dark academia in the score too. I like parasitism and patterns in places you shouldn't find patterns. #HorrorWritersChat

I love the idea that nature is bigger, wilder, and more mysterious than we can imagine. I have a scientific background and a love for folklore, so my scares often have evidence trails and witnesses that utilize superstition to explain what they experience. Convergence is messy.

I have a real thing for "the person you thought is dead now wears a different face/possesses another person/has returned in disguise/etc." It cropped up in my sci fi, it cropped up in my vampire series, it's going to crop up in my "creepy kids" story two books from now.

I have a couple darlings that often appear in my work
1. Cults and religious extremism
2. On the more lighthearted side- 80s and 90s nostalgia/references

“Something’s coming.” My stories more often than not find people on the edge of a very bad thing, even though the harbingers of that thing are no picnic.

I also seem to write a lot of stories where someone has a vision after consuming something, food or otherwise.

I hadn't realised it myself, but my partner recently told me that I often have characters meeting their fate with a sense of resignation, finding a sense of peace in accepting the inevitable.
