Fascinating profile of a park ranger in San Francisco who works with unhoused residents and has adopted the novel tactic of treating them like human beings, building relationships, and helping them access resources on their own timeline.
Her job is to remove homeless people from SF's parks. Her methods are extraordinary
Instead of forcing people out of Golden Gate Park, ranger Amanda Barrows helps them find housing.

During my first week training as a mail carrier my instructor was an old Vietnamese man who shared with me beautiful photos he took in national parks.

He told me he used to love going on trips alone to take photos, but since 2016 he couldn't anymore, because racist people would harass him.

Am I too cynical, or is this really no guarantee that we'll see AC any time soon?

Regardless, this TA is not good. It keeps CCA's and wages don't keep up with inflation, especially when our COLA is prorated.

Anyways, I'm planning on voting No along with a growing rank and file movement.
