one positive thing about the continually rubbish weather is that sam is making lots of effort to keep the flat full of comfort food. it is important to keep up your energy up for when you really do have to leave the blanket nest on the sofa.

the spicy baking smells have been revealed to be for speculaas spiced biscuit dough. our niblings gave sam a set of space themed cookie cutters for her birthday so she has used them to make a pressie for them. also i wanted to do some herdy sheep because look at them.

there is a pair of more-relaxed-and-fluffy-now-they-have-been-soaked thick and cosy woolly boots drying on the radiator next to the sofa and now i sort of get why sam says me-sized footwear is cute.
