I just read this out loud to my wife. If you have a spouse or partner, try it, especially if they don’t know what’s coming. Hearing it out loud makes the bonkers-ness sink in.

Reading this to unsuspecting people should be a TikTok meme.
Every part of this is bonkers. The intro is bonkers. The transition to his health is bonkers. The mention that other presidents didn't need cognitive exams is bonkers. The claim that this screening test is somehow hard is bonkers. The idea that criticism of him is treason is bonkers. All of it.

I flew back to LAX last night from Mexico. Got to passport control, there was a row of electronic cameras, one scanned my face, a light on top turned green, and the dude in uniform standing next to it said “You’re good to go” and that was it. Very convenient, but unsettling too.

One of the many myths they taught us in high school is that Americans love democracy. Half the country would be fine with Trump as dictator for life.

Today, Trump signed congressional resolutions that purport to take away California’s right to protect its residents from automobile related GHG‘s. Yesterday, the Trump EPA said that it is going to abolish the Biden era rules restricting GHG emissions from coal fired power plants. This is nuts.

EPA enacted a regulation to limit emissions of hazardous air pollutants such as lead, mercury, arsenic and benzene, from stationary sources of air pollution. The Republicans in Congress have teed up a vote to kill that regulation under the Congressional Review Act. Profits over public health.
