Key art for the game release, a picture of the witch in a snowy field. I'm still not completely satisfied with the snowfall. Some basic drawings of the witch and scenery to start figuring out an art style. I'm not sure why I picked this background texture for the concepts, but I ended up running with it going forward. Basic layout of the cottage! There was some initial plans to have a room to review the forest map, but the idea was scrapped. Really proud of how this cottage turned out though. An army of drawings for the witch's casual clothes. I was originally planning on selecting one outfit, but at the end two were used for the cottage interior.

Just before Christmas, I got a puppy. Her name is Minerva, and we call her *Minnie. I'm still learning how to understand her. Me: Do you need to go outside? Do you need to go outside, little baby? Do you need to do a poo? Do you need to do a widdle piddle? Minnie: Arf! *I just call her "little baby" most of the time. I'm also realizing I can't turn off the baby talk now. Nobody tells you about that. I got so lucky with my first puppy. Her wonderful foster parents had her completely house-trained by the time we adopted her, so taking her outside for potty time has been pretty easy. I've got the puppy poopy routine pretty much down, now. Me, putting on my coat: Let's see... I got the little poopy bags, puppy treats for bribes, jacket, scarf, phone… I think that's everything… Oh yes! And my passport. I had been carrying around my passport for a while, but I knew it didn't matter. This is wrong. Nobody is required to carry around their papers. I became a US citizen when I was seven. Since I was born in a refugee camp, I was stateless. The US is the only nation where I've ever held citizenship. It's the only passport I've ever had, and it still felt important. Protective. I would hold it in my pocket like a talisman, like it might ward off ghosts or something. But I realized I was holding onto it basically out of superstition. ICE will pick up anybody. I know that. So I tucked my passport away. And I largely avoid leaving my house. I live a few blocks just South of George Floyd Square. I was in the neighborhood for that, too. And all the neighbors came together to protect each other. We're already organized. We'll do our best to get through this. Me, to my dog: I hope I can take you for a walk someday soon. Won't that be nice, little baby?

Hello everyone. I have an extremely drastic and dire update regarding me and my mother's fundraiser regarding our homelessness; so urgent, in fact, that I am writing it from the front seat of our car. We are broke right now and have no money outside of EBT for food, which means we cannot afford anymore hotel rooms to give us shelter. Moreover, my father no longer wants to give us money to help, and my sister is out of town so I can't ask her for help either. We have literally nobody else we can ask for help and my mom doesn't want to go to a shelter because of her PTSD and concerns for my safety. Unless we can get donations through GoFundMe, we officially have no options left and would have to sleep in our car for an entire week until we get social security again next week. It hurts watching my mother sob in misery every day because of what our life has become. So, if you are reading this, please do everything in your power to help us get more donations. Whether that's donating yourself, or sharing this around. Please help us. it's never gotten this bad before.

Writing Tip:
One of the most important moments in a story is when you introduce a character. And you likely won't get it right on the first try. Don't be afraid to delete your introduction and take another crack at it. It'll likely be better the next time around.

Locked in combat with another githyanki clad in armour, Lae'zel shouts, "Now is the time for Heat Metal, istik!" "Best I can do is a cutting remark!" Aldiirn calls out from behind, terrified of Vlaakith's looming presence. He defends himself with a shield and rapier as the Panicked condition prevents him from casting spells. Back at camp, Shadowheart dotes over a dishevelled Aldiirn wrapped in his bedroll. "How are you gaining this many ailments?" she questions, "There's not much I can do to cure them." "I'm fine just roll me down the mountains in my bedroll," Aldiirn answers miserably.
