a couple of artistic liberty projects where my focus was using a bunch of pattern printed fabrics and blending them all together into one cohesive critter.

"hey Beastcub are you ever going to standardize how you make scaly hands???" no probably never lol, I keep finding new fabrics, loving this textured minky stuff, used it on the face too (with the happy accident of the black actually being very dark blue, a neat unplanned accent color 🥰)

My big local anime con is having both guests from K Pop Demon Hunters and The Owl House and the fact I could not muster up the time or energy to make either a quadsuit of the derpy blue tiger or the owl beast is telling of the fact that I am almost 40 and the zest I had in my 20s is gooooooooone

(the only thing I could alter about the shape was to chubby up the cheeks, she then got a trim of the eyebrow ridge to make it as small as I could, added some blush, and eyelash extensions taken to the max, and then why not add some frost flowers)

some big ol peepers painted up with some metallics and a touch of "dragonfly glaze" color shift shimmer paint that has metallic powder in it that goes from gold to orange to red to purple depending on the angle of the light 👀

so my brother thinks that this does not need a full replacement, just the one wire, that the whole "emergency" thing was a bit to get us to sign up for the work, but according to my research this should have been replaced a decade ago regardless?? any electricians out there than can chime in?
Oh and here is a pic is anyone is curious what a "almost an emergency" home electrical panel looks like, which because we did not quite qualify as being an emergency we now have to wait several weeks to get this replaced and have to be careful not to overload anything in peak space heater season yay

Heard a noise coming from the fuse box/circuit breaker box/electrical panel and it has been discovered that everything is just kind of...crispy... and HAS to be entirely replaced, this comes after replacing 2 water heaters, 2 HVAC units, the sewer line and the roof 🙃

This is certainly a color palette that I would have never chosen had I not seen that spotted faux fur, I mean, what a combination right? Dusty rose, bluish purple, mango, and of all things, chartreuse?? but boy did I end up loving this color combo

My art lib knit plush seahorse client might have to withdraw their commission slot if anyone would like to scoop up the idea? I have a whole bin of marigold faux knit fabrics and chunky yarn ready and waiting, it would be in a similar vein as these but was gonna have black beads for eyes not buttons

Not every artistic liberty project gets a drawing first, but when it does sometimes it gets a fairly extensive one like these, but note how there are still differences between the sketch vs the outcome, the nice thing about art lib projects is that they have the freedom to evolve as they see fit ♥️
