Just dropping by to let my few followers know I won't be posting here after all. I'd say I tried, but that'd be a lie.
I'll keep the username here, but I can't in good faith pretend I enjoy the experience this site provides. Not after the hellish week the comic community just went through.

Peace!

The most hopeful theme about Batman is not his crime fighting mission, but the fact that he's a millionaire trying to do the right thing.
Bruce Wayne taking away power from old CEOs has never felt more fantastic and needed than now.

The Phantom Stranger visits Batman and shows him a possible future where his parents live and Bruce grows as a normal person, with all the other consequences of Batman not existing...

DC thought this was such a great idea that they published 2 versions of the same story, 14 years apart!!

Came across this panel in issue 5 of Gotham Knights (2000). It would be hilariously ironic if it wasn't meant to be dead serious. I didn't like this story one bit.

if we're still sharing art on Bluesky, here's chunk of my first BATMAN BEYOND storyboard for the episode "The Eggbaby" (which won an Emmy, go figure)

I haven't posted on Facebook in many years but I did today because I am desperate. I am looking for work. Making comics, art anything. I have 15 years of experience in making comics and books. I am open for commissions of any kind: packaging, posters, portraits, pets, etc.

The new video is taking so long because it's a pretty big one. At times I started doubting the ambitious nature of it. Then came across this panel and it renewed my strength. New video coming soon!

A little known fact about me is that I'm a huge Darksiders fan and now, six years since it came out, I finally played the third game and I liked it very much for what it is. Specially for the story!

Except for the fracture of social media, 2023 has truly been an awesome year and I really want to thank all of you for making that happen. Trust me when I say it would not have been possible without you :)

Here's to an even better 2024!!

I've been working to the Batman Beyond sountrack recently and it's fantastic!

So what happened in the Batman comics after No Man's Land??

Well.... it's complicated.

I just got done reading this book and I can't recommend it enough! It's a compilation of essays from people who all have very different and very valid viewpoints about Batman.

Some essays I loved, others I hated, but the best part was the added commentary on all of them by Denny O'Neil!

And finally some rare Batman pins from the private collection of Michael Uslan. My favorites are the 1980 one, the Golden Age logo and the grey batsignal!

Here's a picture of Denny O'Neil recording a lecture for the very first academic course in comic books back in the early 1970s. That camera is huge and Denny looks exhausted lol

This is the ComicMobile; an interesting idea by DC to make comics more accessible back in the 1970s. Think of it as an ice cream truck, but for comics.
Though I love the idea, it turned out to be a failed experiment never to be used again.

I've been using Kindle for quite a while now and it's been working great! I really like having all my books and comics in the same app.
Comic readers are upset that they no longer have an app exclusively dedicated to comics. I get that, but the sad truth is that it's bad for business.

The Joker using a "Jokia" cellphone is the kind of whacky that I like about comics.

Not very long ago I read this book and I absolutely loved it! I'm going to update this post regularly with some of the things that I loved about it. Such a good read!

I think it's insane how even though he is fully credited for those issues, he didn't actually write any of the stories, as he dropped from the series after the first story!

Alan Grant did everything else, but since he didn't want to lose the contract, he kept John's name in the books. It's wild!
Signed by the legendary John Wagner

Asking why Batman doesn't use his money for social benefit is boring. A better question is why doesn't Wonder Woman use the Lasso of Truth on politicians!?

I loved everything about this comic. Especially the noir feel to the stories and the whole concept behind it. As a fan of film noir and detective stuff, I couldn't get enough of it!
I’m refunding people who bought my comic in digital bc I’m opening it up for free read across the board

If there’s any comics reviewers/iNFlUnCeRS who want access to a digital copy or even a physical copy, let me know

This was my Hollywood strike project, 5 stories/20 pages (+8 pgs of extras)
