The most hopeful theme about Batman is not his crime fighting mission, but the fact that he's a millionaire trying to do the right thing.
Bruce Wayne taking away power from old CEOs has never felt more fantastic and needed than now.

The Phantom Stranger visits Batman and shows him a possible future where his parents live and Bruce grows as a normal person, with all the other consequences of Batman not existing...

DC thought this was such a great idea that they published 2 versions of the same story, 14 years apart!!

Came across this panel in issue 5 of Gotham Knights (2000). It would be hilariously ironic if it wasn't meant to be dead serious. I didn't like this story one bit.

The new video is taking so long because it's a pretty big one. At times I started doubting the ambitious nature of it. Then came across this panel and it renewed my strength. New video coming soon!

A little known fact about me is that I'm a huge Darksiders fan and now, six years since it came out, I finally played the third game and I liked it very much for what it is. Specially for the story!

Except for the fracture of social media, 2023 has truly been an awesome year and I really want to thank all of you for making that happen. Trust me when I say it would not have been possible without you :)

Here's to an even better 2024!!

So what happened in the Batman comics after No Man's Land??

Well.... it's complicated.

I just got done reading this book and I can't recommend it enough! It's a compilation of essays from people who all have very different and very valid viewpoints about Batman.

Some essays I loved, others I hated, but the best part was the added commentary on all of them by Denny O'Neil!

And finally some rare Batman pins from the private collection of Michael Uslan. My favorites are the 1980 one, the Golden Age logo and the grey batsignal!

In the same vein, Michael was the first person to promote a superhero movie at ComicCon when they started working on the Batman movie. Crazy that it took them 10 years to actually get the movie made!

Here's the invitation and a sketch given to Michael by Bob Kane.

Here's a picture of Denny O'Neil recording a lecture for the very first academic course in comic books back in the early 1970s. That camera is huge and Denny looks exhausted lol

This is the ComicMobile; an interesting idea by DC to make comics more accessible back in the 1970s. Think of it as an ice cream truck, but for comics.
Though I love the idea, it turned out to be a failed experiment never to be used again.

Michael attended the first ever ComicCon way back in 1965 and this is the promotional image that they used back then!

The Joker using a "Jokia" cellphone is the kind of whacky that I like about comics.
November 14, 2023 at 5:36 PM
One of the earliest pictures in the book is this Superman poster that Michael Uslan received as part of a tour to the DC Offices in the early 1970s.

Michael managed to get autographs from many artists and writers that were at the office that day, including a rare autograph of Bill Finger!

Not very long ago I read this book and I absolutely loved it! I'm going to update this post regularly with some of the things that I loved about it. Such a good read!

Asking why Batman doesn't use his money for social benefit is boring. A better question is why doesn't Wonder Woman use the Lasso of Truth on politicians!?

There are sentient robots and GPT in Batman Beyond?!?!
I think Mad Stan wasn't ~that~ mad, you know what I mean?

I know this is definitely old news for almost everyone out there and I did this to myself, but I'm actually going crazy with this stuff!

(Video is slowly coming together. Hoping to get it ready on time...)

Happy Halloween, friends!! This might be the best Halloween illustration in any Batman story, by the absolute greatest Tim Sale! And that's saying something considering how many horror stuff Batman has been through!

I must confess: I have never watched anything about Batman Beyond before, so this next video is going to be really interesting. Let's see what the big deal is all about.
