Just finished Seth Rogen's #TheSudio. Mostly amusing with its predictable Larry Davidesque plot lines that I was happy to go along with, but episode 9 was absolutely hilarious!!

I don't think legacy media is reading the room correctly on the Epstein Files. Many of us are asking why they have ignored this story for the last decade? Why did they dismiss all of us who were concerned that Trump might be compromised? And where is their fucking contrition and apology now?

Epistemic violence against sexual abuse accusers—smearing them as deluded, crazy, or incompetent—is something rapists know works, and they conspire to do it.
Jeffrey Epstein advised Steve Bannon that the lawyers representing Brett Kavanaugh in his confirmation hearing should accuse Christine Blasey Ford of being on medications that cause false memories or memory loss.

Friendly reminder that there’s no such thing as “sex with underage girls”! We have a word for that! That word is “rape.”

Russell Crowe is brilliant in Nuremberg. Other performances were uneven, especially Malek and Slattery. Nuremberg is a message movie that's a bit too on the nose for my tastes, but it's message is one that urgently needs to be heard in this new age of fascism.

As if the rich don't already have enough say in this government.
Not enough income disparity for you? Do you support the deterioration of healthcare, education, workplace safety & the environment? Great news! Doug Ford has given the rich disportionate influence on public policy and is making sure elected public servants spend all their time chasing money.
and our democracy dies a little more
Ford is no different from Trump!

FWIW, this deal isn’t finalized yet.

If you want Democrats to keep fighting, call your Senator.

The vote to advance the bill will likely succeed, but all that does is tee up a final up/down vote.

The Lost City (2022) So it was a ripoff of Romancing the Stone, but romcoms haven't been funny lately, and this one was (at least for first half). Brad Pitt's small role steals the show.

Who will be the first to sue an AI company for defamation when a fake quote is attributed to them? Of course we could all sue for plagiarism, all us writers....

This is terrifying. AI making up quotes from a famous thinker who is an outspoken feminist. I doubt the same AI is making up Jordan Peterson quotes. Not that there is equivalence between the two.
Here's some more AI making up a quote from me. It's gonna be a nightmare, so let's pray the bubble pops soon and big.

Oh, look. Another one for your Doug "Never Met a Public Asset I Couldn't Destroy to Benefit My Buddies" Ford list.

Don't forget to tell your friends.
🚨LCBO revenues down $300 million

💰 that pays for schools, healthcare, infrastructure

Canceling beer store contract early cost $225 million

▶️Cost to Ontarians of privatizing alcohol sales:

$300 M + $225 M = $525 million

#ONpoli #FordMath
NEW: For the first time in a decade, the LCBO is expecting to see less than $2 billion in revenue.

That's something workers at the Crown corporation warned could happen after alcohol liberalization was introduced. #OnPoli
