The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

In 1971, corporate attorney Lewis Powell drafted a memo urging Big Business to mobilize for political combat against consumer, labor, and environmental groups.

That roadmap kicked off the corporate takeover of modern American politics. Watch. https://youtu.be/bbbgfnpJN9w?feature=shared

This is excellent. In three minutes she explains how democracies become dictatorships. It's happened so many times, yet in each country, most people said, 'it can't happen here'
#StaceyAbrams explains how to achieve an #autocracy in 10 steps.

We're at step 9.

The military is in our streets. Is our democracy worth the effort to defend it?

Pierre Poilievre is the only national leader in the history of Canada who refuses (or can't get) national security clearance.
He doesn't have a clue what he is talking about as he tries to stoke war in the Persian Gulf.
No wonder voters booted his arse out of Parliament.

Look beyond Trump and Musk's public blowout to the bigger problem: the infiltration of Big Money in our politics. It has corrupted our democracy — creating a vicious cycle that funnels more wealth and power to those at the top while drowning out the needs of regular Americans.

The end goal is to make education a privilege for children born into wealth while destroying the meritocracy that is at the center of the American dream.
Donald Trump’s order dismantling the Dept. of Education is yet another attack on our children’s future. This isn’t about empowering states—it’s about gutting protections for students, slashing resources for public schools, + abandoning families who rely on federal support as a pathway to prosperity.

Putin planned to take Kyiv in three days, but he couldn't take Kyiv in three years.
The only way Putin wins now—the only way he finally succeeds in destroying Ukraine’s sovereignty—is by persuading Ukraine’s allies to abandon Ukraine.
