'The Hand That Signed The Paper', by Dylan Thomas.

This is a very powerful poem, and I think it speaks for itself.

If all these oligarchs named in the Epstein Files are totally innocent, surely they’d be in favor of an independent investigation into Epstein’s crimes.

Right?

Nigel Farage was screaming to scrap furlough because it was a waste of money, while he had already claimed £120,000 for himself.

He is a fraud every word is a lie.

Mike Oldfield and his gang must have been on something hardcore when they recorded this track ...
... tbh it's not very good, but it would be the perfect karaoke track for a full moon! 😏🐺🌕🌝

A more general point here:
when companies are fined, the directors should be *personally* fined too, and the companies shpild be prevented from reimbursing them.
England's water companies don't pay fines.

Thames Water, with nearly 200 criminal convictions, fined £122.4m in Aug/Dec 2024 for sewage dumping, paying illegal dividends.

Secretly agreed - Paid only £24.5m (20%) in Sept 2025. Remaining 80% may be paid by 2030 or never.

Why are companies indulged?
Public ownership of water is the only way to deliver security, efficiency, investment and value for money
37 years of privatisation has been a disaster

Labour has been subject to a corporate takeover:
they are using the same branding, but the contents of the package are 💩 instead of chocolate👿
Who is Labour's candidate Angeliki Stogia for Gorton & Denton?

She is Stakeholder Engagement and Communications lead for Arup, focusing in finding funding and state support for private Energy and Rail contracts.

Do you really want to vote Labour's Margaret Thatcher in?

UK banks poised for bumper bonuses. Good news for some.

Banks could reduce profit margins, pay more on savings, but don't.

Banker bonus cap abolished, capital requirements being reduced, recklessness enriches.

No govt would let big banks collapse. What would the next bailout cost?

This perfectly demonstrates the pernicious nature of BBC two-sidism.

It almost always benefits the side with the most power.

In this case that's the side which is murdering peaceful protesters in the street, on camera, and then lying about it
The BBC coverage is absolutely terrible.

It leads on "sharply contested narratives"

It has a dramatic skew to the US government

It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

Don't be fooled by social tariffs, cost passed to other customers.

Billions extracted in dividends, exec pay; fines announced, not paid; customers fleeced. No one protects people.

Privatisation is a scam.

Brilliant - and (as with Gillray) look at the small-print. Trump's head reminds me of a dancing pig Ronald Searle did (c 1975) for a Private Eye Christmas Card.

I can't find that image, but here are two other Searle pigs - they were quite unique 🥰
