People keep misusing the phrase purity testing, and it shows a lot of you don't know what that is or means.

"They're purity testing Newsom!" is inaccurate. I don't know any critics who think he isn't being a pure enough Democrat. They all think he's being exactly what the Dems now represent: a sneering center-right wimp who'd sell out 10,000 marginalized people for one hypothetical maga vote.
