Growing up in Wisconsin, then spending some time in Cambodia years later, I have very specific heuristics for determining whether it’s super cold or super hot outside.
Cold: My nostrils stick together when I breathe through my nose.
Hot: Steals my breath a little bit when I walk outside.

Too many won’t even risk their *political* lives and power for our families and neighbors, much less their freedom or physical safety. Politicians should be at the front of the protests, not waiting for poll numbers before committing. That’s one way @katmabu.bsky.social is earning my vote.
I will start to take our leader’s resolve seriously when they start shouldering the burden of courage they are demanding of us.

You don’t have to watch the video; it’s really bad, you can take people at their word on that. If you’re like me and sometimes tell people anecdotes that horrify them without intending to, still you don’t have to watch it, because it’s a sad reminder.
