If I were editing a column about Charlie Kirk’s political genius, I would tell the writer he needed to quote Kirk’s actual political beliefs. If the writer responded that doing so would weaken or distract from his argument, it’d be a pretty good sign that the column was not ready for prime time.

I own a Val Kilmer hat and mug. I wasn’t some diehard fan but Top Secret and Real Genius are easily two of the best ten comedies of all time.
He was great as a dramatic actor but I always felt he was at his best in comedy. There was this mischievous streak that always shined through.

American civil society is full of abject cowards, that is the issue. The government is a mafia state but it is winning because most American elite institutions are devoid of anything resembling integrity and are folding rather than stand on principles that were little more than marketing.
