If you think of universal basic income as just "more money," you aren't understanding it and what makes it so different and effective. The fact it comes at a regular frequency is a key factor. When you know that whatever happens next month, you can still buy food, that's a huge deal.

A UBI would create a revolution for the ordinary worker because it would give them power to not put up places that abuse them or intimidate them. Its time for an UBI , there is no time to waste in my opinion. Sick of politicians unwilling to move towards new ways of doing things .

So it turns out a lot of billionaires are really terrible people. I’m shocked.
As a progressive economically it's truly depressing to see Canada lurching towards austerity. I'm not a fan of centrist or Goldman Sachs Carney. We will never get help for the disabled by upping their pathetic pension or moving towards a functional UBI.

At a clinic appointment with my son , he struggles with extreme anxiety in new situations but we are the only 2 wearing a N95 . Not even any baggy blues. Humanity is beyond vain and stupid. It's not a left or right issue either .Both sides are pathetic. Zero respect for most so-called progressives.

One thing I've noticed since my wife's lengthy hospital stay , all nursing staff are not equal is all I'll say. Plus I think a patient with Alzheimer's Dementia should be assigned consistent care of the same staff as much as possible. Still she has quite a ways to go. She has a compound fracture

So a new "grocery rebate" that's replacing the HST . Band aids , that's all the liberals do. We need a full overhaul of social programs and implement a UBI but I'm sure that would freak out some PM Goldman Sachs Carney's friends.

After reading Orwell I always thought it would happen in the west on a full scale sooner or later. Our governments have lied , and hid information,so what we are seeing in the US is that now on steroids. Would have preferred it not to go full throttle but here we are.

My former church has done jack shit to ease my financial burden trying to care for my wife with Alzheimer's dementia and even though I led Bible studies, was involved as much as I could be. They apparently have her in the bulletin pray list. They can stick those up their ass. I'm done with "church".

Our PM talked about bold moves , and changing how things are done. Ok , then how about being bold and implement a UBI. I have zero issue moving on from the US , something I wish we had done a long time ago but until his moves help the desperate, his words will not be heard .
