Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

This is actually kind of interesting.

On the one hand, the ACA *already* has absurdly strict Hyde protections, so that's clearly a poison pill stunt.

On the other hand, the fact that he's even talking about negotiating over an income cap suggests a tiny possibility that he's serious. 1/
Mike Johnson: "If there was gonna be an extension, you'd be massive reforms. You'd need income caps. You should not be subsidizing healthcare for wealthy people. You'd also need Hyde protections on those things and other innovations."

Just another example of the USA falling behind the rest of the world in technology thanks to the clueless “leadership” of the Orange Felon.
Scotland is renewing its renewable energy infrastructure.

Scotland's first commercial wind farm will be able to deliver FIVE times more clean power than before after being upgraded . . . enough to power the equivalent of 57,000 homes.

This headline is from October 2024, when Biden’s US economy was the envy of the world. Last night, @60minutes.bsky.social aided the Orange Felon in repeatedly lying about the economy he inherited and has destroyed in only 6 months.
That economy… was a fucking beast… that Trump slayed in less than 11 months.
