Mi tiquismiquis interno me obliga a decir que en realidad la película está basada en la novela homónima de Thea von Harbou, a la sazón esposa de Lang, quien también fue la guionista de la película. Así que quien lo clavó fue ella.

Aparentemente, hemos llegado a 2026, el año imaginado por Fritz Lang en Metrópolis, donde la desigualdad era estructural, la tecnología servía al control, las masas eran manipulables y el fascismo se vestía de modernidad.

Happy new year! My all sky camera imaged the sky every 15 seconds and this picture shows what happened in the sky in 2025. It shows the length of the night and day with the hourglass shape, the monthly lunar cycle with the diagonal bands, the elevation of the Sun at local noon, and lots of clouds.
