Feels like even folks critical of gambling are not critical enough of gambling.
To me, some saying the words "gambling responsibly" might just as well be saying "smoking cigarettes responsibly", so it's very odd to hear it in a video bemoaning the ever presence of gambling ads.

Really do feel like the problem was so many people going "sexism is bad, ergo, boobs are bad, because they're just absolutely sloshing and overfull of sexism" rather than catching on that the Real Sexism is in the way women are casually depersoned and shoved into narrow boxes in a lot of scripts

Still annoyed by the framing of individual examples of sexualized women in games as the problem, rather than systemic lack of unsexualized women. So many articles about whether Bayonetta was problematic or not, whether the Dragons Crown Sorceress' was somehow pedophilic imagery or not.

I do genuinely believe that the way entertainment journalists wrote opinion pieces about sexualized characters in the 2010s did have a strong impact on the waves of internet censorship today. It's not that conservative outlooks needed an excuse, but that it conditioned the left to not defend sex.
