No, we should have not elected him to a second term. Even if he was convicted like he had already been on 34 felonies, he could very likely still be president.
You think of all the folks who sacrificed for this country and to watch it get dismantled in such short order by a drug addicted charlatan who has raped more women than he has read books in his life is really something. We should have locked his ass up when we had the chance.

I hear mixed signals on reaching across the aisle. AOC gets praised for bipartisan bill to curb stock trading. Chuck gets skewered on reaching across on budget. If in the minority, how do you accomplish anything for the people legislatively without compromise?
This is buried at the end of Elizabeth's thread but it is such a key point: "people want their candidates to fight for them, not step on their necks trying to reach across the aisle."
Brad Lander's comment during the NYC primary that people view Dems as either "fight" or "fold" people is the best characterization of how lose -- this is a fold strategy, and people want their candidates to fight for them, not step on their necks trying to reach across the aisle.
