The odds of forcing the GOP to fund the ACA subsidies via a shutdown were always slim.
But it was smart political strategy to use healthcare as the counter point to all of the big business/ 1%er friendly policies in the BBB.

Umm, where would you purchase health insurance if not through Obamacare or an insurance company?
Insurance pools are the only mechanism propping up the current healthcare model.
How about we all pay a healthcare tax (cheaper than current insurance premiums) and we have Medicare for all?
