Today is Veteran’s Day. We honor those that have served our country. 🇺🇸
Did you know: Veteran’s Day is on November 11th because it marks the armistice signed between the Allies of WW1 & Germany, which took effect at 11:00 am: the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918

I’m voting NO on the Senate funding deal.
I’ve heard from countless constituents whose premiums are set to more than double next year — and they’re not sure if they’ll be able to afford their health coverage.
I won’t support a bill that leaves them behind.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.
A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.
When will party leadership learn this lesson?

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."
The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.
And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".
But there is no "normal". Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows.

Trumpian economics — cherry-picked fantasy data, imaginary checks in the mail, and a debt of $37 trillion that he’s suddenly discovered after years of pretending math is for losers. The man has reinvented supply-side economics into what might be called “Truth Social trickle-down”

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Americans can’t afford food and they can’t afford health care. We are in a cost-of-living crisis of Republicans’ making and we must address it now – not at a later, undisclosed date. Any deal that doesn’t address the cost of health care doesn’t work for the American people. We have to keep fighting.
