Look at the hundreds of people in that community in Minneapolis who ran TOWARDS the danger. Look at those who documented in their heads what happened so they could accurately recount it afterwards, look at those currently out protesting. Pay attention & do your part too.

a big part of the issue surrounding the use of chatgpt/LLMs in academic research comes down to process vs. product. a lot of us know that the process of doing research matters because that's where intellectual work is done; but some "academics" and lots of techies only care about a fast product

I don't understand how there's so much AI hype, when it's late 2025 and the most efficient way to convert a HEIC file to a more useful image format is to email it to myself.

It's been so long that I had to google to confirm, but yes, Mark Sanford is ALSO the governor who claimed to be "hiking the Appalachian Trail" when he was actually off in Argentina with his affair partner.
That was back in 2009. We have got to stop letting these men fail upwards.
