What a nasty little rag The Telegraph is.
Ironbridge, The Wrekin, & the Severn are all *in* Telford. Spiteful snobbery written by bigoted pillocks. It’s no coincidence that Telford is, by far, the most socially, culturally, and racially diverse place in Shropshire - and it’s all the better for it.

@bunnydarke.bsky.social @eofftv.bsky.social For the first time (so far), I’ve upgraded my Letterboxd score for a Hammer film after listening to your discussion. I’d put Captain Clegg at 3.5 stars, but you are both absolutely right - it can be nothing less than a 4 star classic. What a film!

The only scene in Taste of Fear that I felt critical of, and which pulled me out of the story was when Penny was lifting herself…

Happy #NationalHedgehogDay! 🦔

While our prickly friends are still snoozing, now is a good time to prep for their wake-up. For example by:

✅ Creating "Hedgehog Highways" (13cm fence holes) 🏡🐾
✅ Checking leaf piles before clearing 🍂💤
✅ Reporting any sick or dead hedgehogs 🩺👩‍💻

Nobody puts hedgehog in the corner. #WorldHedgehogDay 👇

Add a hog highway to your garden by creating holes in any fencing (measuring approx. 13x13cm!). 🦔

@bunnydarke.bsky.social and @eofftv.bsky.social, Powerhouse Films have got a buy three get 20% deal on Blu-ray’s at the moment, including lots of Hammer (which are already quite cheap). I think it’s worth sharing! Here’s my recent order.

@eofftv.bsky.social should I play the UK theatrical version of Taste of Fear or the US version? The Blu-ray is asking me, and it’s the kind of decision that sends me into a helter-skelter of self-doubt and indecision!😂

Hi @horrornonna.com, I haven’t blocked them yet, but will get to it now on the back of your recommendation. However, I am being quite dim & don’t know what I’m looking at in the example below. I’d love to understand (obviously it’s not your job to educate me but a hint would be gratefully received).

In the 19th Century, Coalbrookdale was often described as ‘Hell On Earth’ due to the impact of Industrialisation. Perhaps such conditions contributed to the tragedy below. All I know is that William Maybury deserves to be remembered.

Just watching ‘The Shadow of the Cat’ for the first time (knowing absolutely nothing about it). It’s a seemingly straight, serious thriller, with a totally bonkers premise. I’m enjoying it, and I’m definitely Team Tabitha - what a cat!
On this week's HAMMER TIME we're preening our whiskers with THE SHADOW OF THE CAT (1961) 🐈 Could a humble tabby cat swear on the bible and testify against her owner's murderers in open court?? Unlikely. But the film does have a great cast including Hammer icon Barbara Shelley 😽 OUT NOW! 🎧

1/5 Final thoughts, before diving into the pod:
Looks gorgeous, brilliant performances, and a level/type of horror not previously seen in a Hammer film.
Explores the interplay of narcissistic masculine fragile-egos and all out masculine psychopathy, much like we see in the so-called ‘manosphere’…
First thoughts on the Two Faces of Dr Jekyll- Jekyll = little more than a thin skinned pathetic tech-bro of the worst kind. If Hyde isn’t an improvement then things are going to get nasty!
If I were Kitty I’d be having an affair with Christopher Lee too!
