Animal Rescue needs some #mutualaid funds for vet care! 🧵

Ariel is a 3 year old spayed female cat with Sandy's Sanctuary and Rescue in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was recently diagnosed with Ocular FIP, and was battling other illnesses when she arrived weeks ago.

slablet, for sure! I use one of these bad boys (Genius G-Pen M609x) and have absolutely purchased another in the past because I am garbage with touch screen things. I don't care if it was made in 2009, it works!!! 😂 It has served me very well, and all my merch has been drawn with it.

I cant wait to not get called out of nowhere for help with a dog. To not have garbage AI trends shoved onto my feeds constantly. To never again have to tolerate someone shitty or crazy just to ensure an animal's safety. 😫

I have a LOT of photos of this cat that are very similar. I promise he's not even alarmed, he just looks like that sometimes. He never lost the vibes from when he was a weird little baby.

In case anyone was wondering if Tav & Mufasa were still gay as hell 😆 they are. Still hoping the perfect adopter comes along for these two goobers.

we've had like 3 different cat health scares this month and finally everyone seems to be on the mend and doing better 😩 UGH.

Good. Because theres fucking 4 inches of snow outside and Oklahoma doesn't know how to handle it, so every clinic in my area is closed for several days 😅

A very special happy 2nd birthday to our miracle baby, Kaiju 🥹 He was our 50gram preemie kitten born to a mom who passed of pyometra. On antibiotics at 3 days old, pretty much came out the womb with herpes symptoms... our vet told us at 1wk that he likely wouldn't make it. 😅 WELL! He made it!

Snickers has been having some issues with his peen as he grows, which we knew was likely to happen due to his surgery having been done so young 😅 not that we had a choice! He's doing much better now, all healed again, but I will def miss his fruity little soft cones 🤣

Just before Christmas, I got a puppy. Her name is Minerva, and we call her *Minnie. I'm still learning how to understand her. Me: Do you need to go outside? Do you need to go outside, little baby? Do you need to do a poo? Do you need to do a widdle piddle? Minnie: Arf! *I just call her "little baby" most of the time. I'm also realizing I can't turn off the baby talk now. Nobody tells you about that. I got so lucky with my first puppy. Her wonderful foster parents had her completely house-trained by the time we adopted her, so taking her outside for potty time has been pretty easy. I've got the puppy poopy routine pretty much down, now. Me, putting on my coat: Let's see... I got the little poopy bags, puppy treats for bribes, jacket, scarf, phone… I think that's everything… Oh yes! And my passport. I had been carrying around my passport for a while, but I knew it didn't matter. This is wrong. Nobody is required to carry around their papers. I became a US citizen when I was seven. Since I was born in a refugee camp, I was stateless. The US is the only nation where I've ever held citizenship. It's the only passport I've ever had, and it still felt important. Protective. I would hold it in my pocket like a talisman, like it might ward off ghosts or something. But I realized I was holding onto it basically out of superstition. ICE will pick up anybody. I know that. So I tucked my passport away. And I largely avoid leaving my house. I live a few blocks just South of George Floyd Square. I was in the neighborhood for that, too. And all the neighbors came together to protect each other. We're already organized. We'll do our best to get through this. Me, to my dog: I hope I can take you for a walk someday soon. Won't that be nice, little baby?
