Morning bike ride: 40 minutes, 6.8 miles. Chilly, but bearable. Spotted a hawk of indeterminate species, a white-tailed deer crossing the road, a belted kingfisher, and some mallards.

Y'all ever stopped listening to an audiobook because you could not stand the narrator? I just had to DNF the audiobook for The Left Hand of Darkness, because it was infuriating. So precisely spoken most of the time but any time he had to say a word Le Guin made up it became an unintelligible garble

Ok, I've had a few days of WFH with my new walking pad, and I am honestly a fan. It's a bit loud, so I can't be on it when my husband is in a meeting (we share the office), but on days when he's in the office I've hit my 10.5K steps easily. Well done, TikTok influencers. You got me.

Ugh, I have the kind of cold that isn't terrible, but makes me very sneezy and the occasional runny nose. I hate it.

I just love that Brianna Wu is over on the hellsite bitching about "10 minute cities" & claiming that her 10 minute walk to a DC Metro station was nigh unbearable. Girl, I dream of being a 10 minute walk from rapid transit. Depending on the line I'm a 10 minute walk from the bus! Seriously, shut up.
