Krispy Kreme trucks have several signs on them that say "No cash on board, just fresh donuts," which does not make it any less likely that I will try to rob the truck and may, in fact, increase the likelihood

I need an app that notifies me when a band that was mildly popular in the 90s and has since fallen into obscurity released an album in 2022 and I missed it

It's an afternoon with unfathomably sad news-- we've lost the greatest titan in American poetry. I think often of how to do work that would make her proud of me. I am grieving today but also just had a call with a young poet I believe in, which I hope honors Ellen's legacy. Thank you, EBV.

Does anybody know what Amazon is up to? After months of not purchasing any of our backlist titles, they’re now buying up all available stock of 1 to 3 different backlist titles each week. And their orders feel like unreasonable numbers given three-year sales on their site.

Meatspace friends: need an opinion. This new cartoon avatar of me... what do you think? Representative? Not at all? I kind of like it but I'm the last person who has a sense of how I really look.

The reason there's no "we rate cats" is that they all get at least 10/10 and the ones who think they deserve a higher rating will either scratch you or run away and hide all day.

I get sad when I see one of my longtime fave journals has come to its end, but I also try to celebrate two things:
1. Someone-- or many someones-- gave us a boatload of their time and attention to make that beautiful thing, and we were lucky to receive that gift as long as we did.

Automated services that make you speak your social security number or some other personal information, with no option to enter by keypad, suck. Some people have to make calls when they don't have privacy, dummies!

I love the implication that we're all made of stardust and the recycled bits of the universe, but that means we're probably also partially composed of alien poop too.

It's great that Belichek is coming to UNC and there's no way at all that this backfires and immediately becomes the hottest dumpster fire in college football
