Thank you @tesmagazine.bsky.social for your support.

Our 5th Annual Headteacher Wellbeing Report is an important read.

Published on our website next week.
Excl: A headteacher support service has warned leaders are seeking medical treatment over "unethical" treatment by trusts and councils.

While most trusts & LAs act with integrity, @headrestuk.bsky.social says these "disturbing" cases are now “increasingly recurring".
Leaders suffer ‘disturbing’ mistreatment, support service warns
School leaders are being set ‘undeliverable’ expectations, says Headrest, as it fields a big increase in calls

I was driving while Trump delivered that speech; first time I’ve actually listened to his ramblings and my jaw was on the floor. Why was he not immediately sectioned afterwards? Either dangerous, deliberate lies or utterly mad.

Let me help all these ridiculous journos out by pointing out that royalty is:
1. not a meritocracy
2. born into feeling entitled
3. not sackable (that is the whole point!)
4. throughout history they use women appallingly

You want a royal family - you need to understand this!

To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

The thing that baffles me is all these people being ‘deeply shocked that a member of the royal family would behave like this’. Have they read no history? Male royals entitled behaviour towards women is how it has always been. (Another reason why royalty is totally unsuitable for this age)

Colleagues - we are beginning to get some feedback on these pilot inspections. It is helpful for us to know how things are on the ground in order to support. Please send us any information you you have.

I was chuffed with this autumnal dinner I made. (Too much effort though - bloody pumpkins have way too many seeds!)

I simply do not understand the wall-to-wall coverage of this Charlie Kirk 🤷‍♀️

Kids and teachers in schools get shot in USA and our media report briefly and move on - to me that seems far worse.

I find this worrying.

'Honest Bob' Jenrick, a politician obviously & deliberately embracing xenophobia, does some weapons grade xenophobia & the BBC *apologises* for a Thought For The Day contributor calling it xenophobic. Licence fee payers need to know who makes these decisions & why. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The open secret of Jenrick's utterly cynical and made-up National Populism should not be shrugged off like the open secrets of what Boris Johnson and Liz Truss are really like. We can't keep doing this.

I am shocked. SHOCKED, I tell ya.
New post just out:

"The Great VAT Panic"

The claims made by the right-wing press about VAT on private school fees were wildly wrong.

Why? What are the lessons about about (how not to) run a lobbying campaign? And what can government learn?

For me, the BBC’s image choice here is reprehensible…

…it glorifies these thugs who were intimidating refugees - makes them look like they are protesting for some sort of freedom… rather than the targeted harassment of the vulnerable.
How BBC presents the anti-migrant hotel protests vs how we do at @bylinesnetwork.co.uk

BBC lead with a Reform UK voter saying "We are not happy with these men in this hotel because we fear for our children”

We tell of the refugee children inside the hotel terrified by chants of “send them out!”
