I'm a recovering Masshole, a muppet critic, a practical intuitive, a pansexual who's no Peter Pan. I believe in the Force, the social contract, you. Readings/Ruby Report: https://pocketsuite.io/link/ruby-intuition
Unpopular opinion I’m slipping in now: I loved Diane Keaton but after 1985 i think she mostly made movies to finance her other projects bc they were mostly commercial flytraps

People mag is constantly undervalued because the majority of its pages are dedicated to female-coded interests (celebs, shopping, true crime). They don't crave or need political access to exist & so are free to speak truth to power. One of the few outlets to cover Project 2025 with any seriousness.
So what does it say about the state of the 🇺🇸 Press Corps that Trump sticking his finger in a reporter’s face and shouting “Quiet, Piggy!” at her was broken by @peoplemag.bsky.social?

I’m a huge SNL nerd, but this mostly white new cast is tough. This week featured an-otherwise endearing music video—“I Miss My Ex’s Dad—but altho we see dad Glenn Powell’s daughter, we don’t see dad Keenan Thompson’s. Why? Bc there are literally no Black women left on SNL. youtu.be/IYmSuZHDTdg?...

Did men ruin sex? Did men ruin the environment? Did men ruin religion? Did men ruin the public trust? Did men ruin fun? Did men ruin any basic sense of decency? Did men ruin the human species’ future on a habitable, equitable planet? Stop me if I’m forgetting anything

This has me thinking about a mahogany box lined in ruffled cream satin.

We need to talk about how hackneyed and grating the phrase “we need to talk about” is.

Love how arbitrarily the court still stans for first-amendment rights (though of course I’m thrilled Drake nuked what standing he had left for nada nada nada nada damn thing.)

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

Today, eclipse season comes to a boil with a solar eclipse in Virgo, enforcing vital lessons about service, accountability, and the divine difference between safety and support. Acts of service and resistance are the best magic rituals for this moment.

The Special Election to fill assassinated MN Rep Melissa Hortman's seat is *tomorrow*.
It will decide the balance of power in the MN House, which is why she was targeted. She had brokered a power-sharing agreement.

Special election will fill Hortman seat but candidates agree they can't fill her void
Voters are choosing between Democrat XP Lee and Republican Ruth Bittner to fill House District seat 34B, which was previously held by slain former Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman.

Why do people keep asking why in reference to [current event/fallout from said current that I refuse to type out] All of it is straight out of the fascist handbook.

I quickly got so bored by the Emmys that I was reduced to doing the Monday NYT xword, but the Ike Barinholtz/Kathryn Hahn collab was Wiig-Ferrell level. Like so rubberneckingly great.

Elizabeth Banks rightfully making a thing out of the fact that only one man was nominated for the category she’s presenting hilariously sours the man’s actual win. I loved Adolescence but honestly—awkwardddddddd

Bargatze saying he thought Walter and Parker were going to be “a lot but actually are quite lovely” confirms that the most norm core person in the suburban Boston gated community is hosting tonight.

I love Jeff Hiller winning (and giddily wheezing!) this Emmy. I can’t watch the series—my worst ex co-stars—but I really love this human windmill’s heart

Every time they flash on Jason Segal sadly smiling at his colleagues’ antics, you remember that in fact the country is sinking into total technocratic death cult tyranny no matter how we whistle in the dark.

A really weird theme of people rocking injured limbs tonight. For Jean Smart, now Sterling Brown. Eclipse season, you run amok

Best supporting actress in a comedy is strongest performance category of nite. Would’ve been over the moon for any of these broads to win; happy for sweetly earnest Hannah. “I was committed to the narrative of losing. But this is punk rock!” My sort of nepo baby (even supports Palestine)!

Watching the audience sing guilelessly along with “Thank You For Being a Friend” bothers me a lot less than Bargatze’s aggressive attempts at neutrality.
September 15, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Really not a fan of this acceptance speech timer (tho Bargatze’s chosen charity of Boys and Girls club is classic buttered noodles). It’s like in a romcom when you know the cab meter is running while the rakish lead runs after his girl at the airport. Unnecessary anxiety!

Tramell Tillman wins Supporting Actor and is as magnetic when delivering his own thoughts as when he’s holding down Severance. Would truly like to know more about this amazing mom about his.

Katherine LaNasa wins best supporting actress for The Pitt and I am transfixed once again by the fact that this woman was Dennis Hopper’s gf. Wherefore art thou, my feminism?

Now I’m stuck on how many of the award presenters are actually AI versions of themselves. AI or a surplus of Botox/ozempic: tomato, tomawto ? (Here’s looking at you, Zeta-Jones)
