"Nothing exists."
"Even if something exists, nothing can be known about it."
"Even if something can be known about it, that knowledge cannot be transmitted to others."

we should all just stop asking each other "how are you?" at club fed and the energy we would save pasting on smiles and brightening our voices to distract from our empty dead eyes would be like mutual debt cancellation

Proud that the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association and my old Boston congregation, Dorshei Tzedek, signed on.
Proud that my synagogue signed onto this excellent amicus brief in support of Rümeysa Öztürk. The intro is especially worth your time.

Honestly a speech where the ultimate point is "fuck Strom Thurmond" is probably a good thing to have on the marks right now, for a lot of reasons.

today's DOGE IS FOUR LETTERS is a conversation with a civil rights attorney who helps you, the worker, get what you are owed and deserve out of employers who would deny you it.
Fighting for the Worker
Congress effectively gave us this job: fighting for people who are treated poorly at work. We make work fairer and safer, and we do it without charging a cent.

Being nihilistic about the courts and legal institutions *helps* authoritarians. They want you to lose faith in the rule of law and stop holding power to account. As much as you can, don’t let them.
There’s a difference between being *realistic* about how the federal courts, including #SCOTUS, are going to respond to the abuses of the second Trump administration and being *nihilistic.*

I certainly don’t think courts will block all that they should. But they’ll block more than you might expect.

Fatalism about "law lol" is self-fulfilling.

The law and institutions generally are not self-implementing, but require people to take their constitutional, professional, and civic responsibilities seriously.
This is ground I will not concede. The law matters, and the way we talk about it matters, too.
Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.
