What will it take for this government to nationalise water?
Rather than just spout (faulty and biased sums) about how it's too expensive?
Because this is likely caused by privately owned Southern Water, who deliberately dumped raw sewage into seas for years. 💩

I've been writing about Phyllis Schlafly and right-wing women vs Shere Hite and found this superb!
I'm hoping for some discussion of Schlafly's self-help book, 'the power of the positive woman' in part 2.

In this book I explore struggles for reproductive rights & liberty in postwar France - telling a different story about the era of sexual liberalisation & legal reform, avoiding a celebratory narrative but looking at persisting injustices and inequalities.

Sexual violence has been both endemic and normalised within many British police forces — and sexual violence against girls from working class backgrounds has long been ignored by the wider British state. Sometimes the obvious answer is, in fact, the correct answer. Nobody cared about these girls.

God, the number of people who were willing to believe that the South Yorkshire police were too woke to prosecute sexual abuse cases, when in fact the police force was itself an instrument of patriarchal sexual violence. It’s like a case study in the worst excesses of the British press.

It’s our movements that did it. For tenants rights, for Palestine and yes, the me too movement!
People left and right love to hate on #metoo but without a mass movement against sexual violence Mamdani would never have been able to call Cuomo a sexual predator & have it stick!
