Got my book draft into my editor @melvillehouse.bsky.social earlier this week. My bf captured the moment perfectly 💕

I've been writing about Phyllis Schlafly and right-wing women vs Shere Hite and found this superb!

I'm hoping for some discussion of Schlafly's self-help book, 'the power of the positive woman' in part 2.

amazing that the anti-sexist men's movement propose gender-neutral pronouns (te/tir) & attaché as alternative to husband/wife.

As someone who likes a smart briefcase I could get on board!

My book is available for preorder @melvillehouse.bsky.social!

It’s about The Hite Report—the 50M-copy feminist sexology bestseller—its wild, visionary author Shere Hite and culture wars then and now. Out April '26!

excited to read this!

I love Anthea Taylor's work and this one chimes with my own project on Shere Hite, especially making sense of reader letters. 💌 Clever, clever cover too!

I find it so funny that 'the joy of sex' is modeled on 'the joy of cooking'. A 'cordon bleu guide to lovemaking.'

"A cookbook tells a novice how to tackle a live lobster, what to do when the mayonnaise separates" so this book covers "human heterosexuality…fantasies and staple diet."

at its heart, feminism is about making life more livable.

this supreme court decision and its repercussions are so deathly.

On #IWD, London Renters Union joined the women's strike.

Housing is a feminist issue.

every meeting women talk about scrubbing mould off walls, how their kids can't have friends over, how stressed they are keeping kids safe. many of us feel shame.

we learn that shame is not ours, but landlords.

Loved resistance at @turnercontemporary.bsky.social.

Here, a lovely march against section 28 in 1988, at the back a crumpled up “lesbians & gays boycott genocide” banner against the 🇦🇺 bicentennial celebrations that same year.

the global shimmers at the edges of our movements, just look.

Yesterday London Renters Union stopped an eviction!

💪 After 7 HOURS standing our ground, defending multiple entrances, we sent the bailiffs and the police packing - defending our members from being evicted from their homes.

Together, we have the power to stand up to the rich and win. ❤️
