if you're looking for a non-appropriative alternative: "may their memory be a revolution" started in the Orthodox Jewish community for victims of domestic violence, but it was suggested by the head of the organization that came up with it for George Floyd, so I think it's ok to use more broadly

I had a four hour flight and I'm delighted to find that C.L. Polk's EVEN THOUGH I KNEW THE END is also four hours by audiobook and it was a wonderful way to pass that entire flight. Utterly entertaining, with voice for days, and just the right emotional stakes. What a great fantastical noir. ❤️

I usually come up with the ending first and it often is the culmination of what I wanted to say with the story. The ending comes first and then I work backwards trying to figure out the most compelling way to make the statement.
