"Understanding" is a pretty beautiful compound word...in this case "under" has a somewhat archaic meaning of "among" (also still present in "under these circumstances.")
So understanding is "Standing among" as-in a mind that figuratively shares space with the concepts in question.

Idk why but it seems like nintendo games are just especially bad at loading times. Im not just talking about hardware power, but like ease of use. Animal crossing has lots of repetitive tasks, that seem easy but instead of making the actions smoother you have to mask A and go through so many menus.
