My first bead embroidery project is done! It was a lot of trial and error, picking out beads and trying again. The cow looks nothing like I initially wanted it to and the star was a last minute decision. But I still like it!

I’m planning a trip to New England in late October and looking for any recommendations! So far all I have in my To-Do list is some sort of spooky town experience and the Glass Flowers at the Harvard Natural History Museum.

As someone who grew up in a conservative, religious environment, it’s so weird how liberals insist on casting the women in these communities as helpless victims rather than true believers. Even the ignorant ones work HARD to maintain their ignorance.

Every state I have ever been to, except California, believes they are being invaded by Californians in a way that no other state has ever been invaded by Californians. Every problem is blamed on Californians. Red state, Blue state, or Purple: everyone is united into their hatred of CA transplants.

Once you wake up to Islamophobia, it’s so shocking how widespread and completely unchecked it is! Lots of people are bigots in lots of ways, but I really feel like Islamophobia might be the most socially acceptable form or bigotry right now.

I think color drenching looks nice, but I don’t understand the insistence by some people that it’s the CORRECT way to design a room rather than just a current trend that will certainly fall out of fashion and then we’ll all have contrasting trim and ceilings again.
