Sometimes when I’m deep in game prep I can get a little lost.
I find it helpful to remind myself that if I only need to prep for the equivalent of two or three obstacles. And worst case, if I need to buy a little time, I can just throw closed door at my party and that’ll probably take all session.

I love that feeling of having accidentally done too much game prep so now I can plan last minute dnd games
I know I know, I’m if you don’t ever prep you don’t have to deal with this but I STILL struggle with running compelling long form games without at least a smidge of prep
