Graduation day @kcl-spe.bsky.social! I love these days, a chance to celebrate our students and their families.
This time there was an added hazard with yours truly straying *perilously* close to the edge of the stage!

Time for another one of my old London paintings. I completed this one on a crowded street and the main focus is St Martin-in-the-Fields but I also enjoyed dashing in the passing people with a few pen strokes. This went into an exhibition and sold immediately.

The original plans for that project were completely insane. Pure magical thinking.

Outstanding! After much searching I picked up a great deal on a Jr. Every now and then it's good to treat yourself!

Is the tele new?

In case anyone needs it after this week, here's my dog seeing snow fall for the first time.

Just got some data on reform and vaccines. Will dig it out...

A frosty walk with Blue to start the day

Thank goodness these attitudes no longer exist :/

Wonderful to hear and what a fantastic cause (have had a similar experience but not quite out the other side). I hope this gets some real traction.

Just doesn't bear thinking about...

Horrible. If it did flash there'd have been no way out.

An excellent cause. Good luck!!!!

Same to you Brooke!!

Almost exactly this! But sadly, nothing nearly so cool (think horrendous 2000s emo etc... coming to a local festival near you ๐Ÿคฃ)

Anyway, life may not be all roses but it's easy to miss the good stuff if you don't look. Happy New Year everyone!

1) I got to work with some amazing, talented people
2) Saw my eldest beat the odds and get into his top uni
3) Accidentally joined a punk covers band(!)
4) Did some training with my dog that we both really enjoyed (and did us both some good- see also lovely walks)
5) Started a job I think I'll love

Well, I can't pretend 2025 was anything other than a truly horrific year. But as one of life's optimists, I'm going to build on some of the (very few) good things I've done this year. More of these!
My top 5 in no particular order...

There *must* be a redemption arc!

I'm pretty sure they're still going!

Get a Labrador they said. A pedigree. Such beautiful animals...

It was the 700 falafel at last year's Christmas party that did for us

Huge congrats!!
