I turned off the ding sound for new email on my laptop. There's still a pop up in the corner but it's silent now. Highly recommend doing this!

Casually plotting a cross country Amtrak trip. Seattle to Chicago to DC. Spend a few days in DC, then same return route. I think it'd be nice in the spring but in the fall when the leaves are turning sounds pretty too?

Having a mental illness is so funny because you'll explain your thought process to someone and they'll be like, "Well that doesn't make sense," and you're like, "Right, yes, you've grasped the basic concept of mental illness."

Short-eared Owl, Leque Island, Washington. Image taken 2/13/2017. Leque Island used to be prime habitat for short-eared owls and other raptors. But the former farmland has recently been restored to its original habitat - tidal marsh and estuary. A loss for raptors is a gain for juvenile salmon.
