Seasonal Affective Disorder #SAD is a type of depression that appears most often in late fall/winter when daylight hours shorten.

SAD hits harder when your brain already runs low on #dopamine. That’s why #ADHD and winter blues often travel together.

🔥 Stress is meant to be temporary; when it is prolonged or chronic it leads to burnout.
🧠 Other than taking an actual, physical break from work, the best remedies are often "inside jobs," meaning exerting control and reclaiming your mindspace and time when you can't change your physical environment.

having ADHD is like being chat-gpt. you know a LOT of stuff about a LOT of things, you can talk about them endlessly, but after a few sentences you do kinda start daydreaming and just make shit up for the rest of your response

⬆️ Thoughts are only as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ as we allow ourselves to believe. What if you tried 'repackaging' a negative thought into something more positive? Even shifting to a neutral perspective can be a powerful step forward! #mindset #mindshift #moodlift #growth #selfcare #adhd

How wonderfully appropriate for everyone but especially if you have #ADHD. Recognizing and acknowledging any win helps counteract rejection sensitive disorder (RSD)

For all the years I sat at my corp job wishing "my time to be my own," my #ADHD will not allow me peace with unstructured time now that I'm self-employed. But my feral Gen X self is not very accepting of the fact that I need some routine. The bridge may be to add something intentional into every day

#ADHD is updating a year of QuickBooks in the last hours of 2024, feeling super-proud and dancing with accomplishment. Until bookkeeper emails that it was done wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️

God is funny for making ADHD. What do you mean I have an interest based brain and don’t care about things when they’re boring😭? Like how do I explain that to people

Upgrading iPhone 14 Pro to 16 Pro is like living with ADHD. Some apps seamlessly transition while others need reset, brand-new passwords, unused email addresses, color of first car, favorite teacher. Never knowing what level of difficulty I'll face for each app is much like every exec function task

#ADHD is feeling great about a productive week followed by waking up stuck in quicksand, leaving you wondering whether the good week was just an anomaly.

ADHD-ers usually have an interest-based nervous system. Meaning that a task needs either novelty, urgency, competition or interest for them to be motivated or focused. Learning this and adapting boring, everyday tasks to fit into one of these categories can be life-changing.

This is why AI won't take jobs from graphic designers: I asked #ChatGPT to create an image of me based on what it knows about me. Hair color and profession are right but that desk is way more organized than my ADHD could ever manage. #adhd
