Proud member of the Society of Misassembled Models (SMM) - where every mishap is celebrated, and every unpainted piece is a badge of honour.
A little bit of tidying up to do after the oils and washes then it's done. #Histscalemodels

My wife is on a trip to Edinburgh and is mocking me with pictures of what looks to be a great big model shop.

Starting on the oil pin wash, first time trying this on a metallic surface so might not look great #histscalemodels

Slow, uncharacteristically patient progress towards my dad's jet on Father's Day #histscalemodels

Finished the Biber as my contribution to a group build on the other place. I've got an M3 Stuart on the go but I think I need to get back to my safe place and get an aircraft on the bench #HistScaleModels

Not being a figure painter I'm quite happy with how one of these turned out, even if one looks sad and the other startled #HistScaleModels

Not my finest work but it looks good against the blue sky so it's not all bad #HistScaleModels

I don't normally bother with 1/72 pilot figures, especially when the instructions call for their oxygen masks to be removed, but you can't have a Blue Angel F-18 without a Blue Angel pilot. #HistScaleModels

Next on the bench, this 1/35 midget submarine. #HistScaleModels This sub is so small even the real thing looks like a toy. www.ianclarkrestoration.com/158/RNSM-Bib...

Rubicon Kingtiger finished. My first 1/56, an interesting and enjoyable kit but I'm looking forward to something a little bigger next. #HistScaleModels

Camo scheme complete, next job is to add the tools then get weathering #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Time to hide some of this interior detail. I like the way Rubicon use magnets for the turret and kept some of the panels removable so the interior isn't permanently hidden. #histscalemodels

My new purchase was a game changer in helping me paint these 1/56 figures. #histscalemodels

I can't put it off any longer, I'm going to have to attempt to paint the tiny figures now #histscalemodels

I have never made a kit that didn't have colour call outs before, I think Rubicon should be paying royalties to Takom as I'm relying on their instructions #histscalemodels

Does anyone have any experience with Rubicon models? I went into my local model shop for paint and putty and was upsold this Tiger 2. #Histscalemodels

Why did Revell insist on stamping the outside of their kits 😡. In other news these sharp 20p blades are a lifesaver when it comes to masking #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Got out lightly from my new favourite shop in Swansea, some armour and a handful of 20p scalpel blades #histscalemodels
