I found the fit so good that I didn't bother gluing them, certainly helps with storage and/or finding space on the shelf.

It's just where you are very precise with where the wash goes, such as on panel lines or around small detailed parts. Unlike the Flory type washes where you cover the whole model then wipe off the excess. In this case I'm using heavily thinner oils which are easy to manipulate.

how do you find the SMS paints, I have some for my Lancaster but haven't used them yet.

a mix of different AK Xtreme metal and True Metal wax.
