🚨 BIG NEWS: A major Maryland offshore wind project has been officially approved.

US Wind's project will include up to 114 wind turbines, generate 2 GW of offshore wind, and power 600,000+ homes.

Now, more than ever, state wins like this are absolutely essential in meeting our climate goals. 👏

So, I learned from a reporter who called me today that the impending bill to abolish my office may be morphing into a bill to fold the OCA into the Department of Energy. That's a distinction without a difference; it would still mean no independent advocate for utility ratepayers.

Some major state and local climate victories this month:

✅ Massachusetts passes bill to accelerate clean energy
✅ NYC congestion pricing to begin Jan. 5
✅ California voters approve Prop 4, creating $10 billion climate bond
✅ Washington voters reject Initiative 2117, upholding state carbon market
With Trump returning to the White House and 2024 on track to be the hottest year ever, it's hard not to feel like everything is falling apart.

But there's reason for hope.

States are leading the climate fight and will continue to protect our hard-won climate progress over the next four years.

Democrat-led states commitments to climate action provide a glimmer of hope in a second Trump Administration.

Amen. Expanding school voucher eligibility to fund private schooling for kids from well-to-do families—even as proposed federal cuts to special education funding loom—is fiscal insanity.

Proposed cuts to education funding that could affect two of our most vulnerable student populations — low income and special needs — are looming at the federal and state levels.

$4.5 billion—that's how much money outside groups spent to influence the 2024 election. I've never taken a dime of lobbyist or PAC money. I co-founded the No PAC caucus, and I'm going to keep fighting to ban all PAC and lobbyist money from Congress.

Here we go! We finally have the Gabbard page up and running. Tell your Senators: Oppose Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence

Please send your letters below and let's make it clear that we don't want Tulsi as the next DNI. It was absurd to begin with. Like Trump's trolling us.

Make no mistake: We will fight like hell against Trump's efforts to gut the Inflation Reduction Act and environmental protections, reproductive rights, and democracy.

We WILL defeat these efforts to roll back federal progress while continuing to make progress at the state and local level.

“They could save tens or even hundreds of billions of dollars depending on how it's structured and what they do. This could be a constructive undertaking that ought to be embraced.”

Voted no, of course - but I do want to report that the activism DID work and persuaded members.

I thought it’d be a lonely NO vote, which we take often. It wasn’t.
