NEW: MLS will become a summer-to-spring circuit beginning in 2027. It's the latest change as it aims to regularly "double" its fanbase...although the latest switch risks polarizing the league's longtime diehard supporters.

Just finished an abbreviated end of season press conference with Bruce Arena. After almost a year with the #Quakes74, and seeing how MLS is evolving in recent seasons, he had this assessment of the organization: "We have to overachieve here to be successful."

He also had this gem. “The salary cap is always challenging…I’m going to call into Inter Miami and see how they do it.” #Quakes74

This is the 5th time in team history that D.C. United have finished at the foot of the overall league table, putting them back into a tie with San Jose for most all-time. If you need a tiebreaker, the Quakes have done it in 2 fewer seasons.
D.C. United has done it! They've secured the Wooden Spoon as the worst team in MLS in 2025!

The San Jose Earthquakes still have everything to play for this Saturday against Austin FC, but the season postmortems are starting to be discussed. After training today, head coach Bruce Arena was asked about how the culture of the club has changed since he took over ahead of the 2025 MLS season.

Was out at the San Jose Earthquakes training facility for today's press availability. It's now double in size (the new half is in the foreground), though the team is still waiting for the use permit to be issued in order to play on the new part. A small, but necessary, improvement.
