With Trump boycotting this crucial UN summit on a two-state solution, Keir Starmer should go there himself and commit to recognising the Palestinian state.

This is Britain’s chance to lead on the world stage – to stop the horror in Gaza and help deliver a lasting peace.

❓If the government admits that First Past the Post is unsuitable for mayoral elections, why does it intend to keep it in place for general elections?

Thank you, Sarah Olney MP, for raising this issue in Parliament.

Whatever the election, FPTP is not fit for purpose. It must be replaced.

I just asked my MP to back the Youth Opportunity Scheme. I never got to study or volunteer across Europe – but future generations should.

Give young people that chance. Contact your MP here:

Ukraine has fought too hard for its freedom, only to have its future dictated by Putin and Trump behind closed doors.

Any peace must guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and security on terms acceptable to Ukrainians, not just to Moscow and Mar-a-Lago.

The delay of so many local elections is a disgraceful stitch-up between Labour and the Conservatives.

Where elections are still happening, the Liberal Democrats will campaign hard to build on last year’s historic election wins and give communities the strong voice they deserve.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Donald Trump is a threat to peace and prosperity around the world.

The UK will not be able to depend on the US to be a reliable partner on security, defence or the economy.

How do we deal with Donald Trump? We need to do it from a position of strength.

It was great meeting Sarah Dyke MP talking about the environment, in particular the tax on family farms and the work being done to improve our biodiversity. Especially Eils, discussing their migration patterns & how us and Elis can cohabit whilst maintaing good sea and river defences during floods.

Finally. Ceasefire. So many feelings. Still can’t quite believe it. We’d been so close before. But also why did it take so long. Thousands of innocents dead. So much devastation. Let’s hope this lasts and the bombs don’t start again.

No mention though by Opinium that @eddavey.libdems.org.uk does better in this poll than either Starmer or Badenoch with a vnet +2 approval rating, ahead of Starmer on -33, Badenoch on -12 and Farage on -9 .
As a point of comparison, Kemi Badenoch’s approval is also steady, as she remains on -12% (no change, compared to our last poll).
