This is some sick shit. Heritage Foundation lays out their case that slashing higher ed and gutting public K-12 will increase fertility (for certain desirable populations, of course).

In DOGE’s purported quest to make government more efficient and cost effective, it is decimating federal tech teams working on smart, innovative projects designed to do exactly that.

DOGE Is Putting Major Government Efficiency Projects at Risk
In its apparent quest to cut government spending and improve efficiency, DOGE has fired entire tech teams devoted to those very things.

Awful news --> Delivery of therapeutic food assistance to nearly 400,000 severely malnourished kids abroad is suddenly in doubt due to Trump-Musk firings at USAID, two manufacturers of the product tell me.

"Starving children are waiting," one says.

Two U.S. nonprofits that manufacture a treatment sent by USAID to help severely malnourished children abroad say the process is in chaos. This isn’t what Marco Rubio said would happen.

Just under a third of Project 2025’s policies have already been implemented, according to a developer who is tracking them. More than half of its goals for DOJ, the State Department, and the White House are now in progress. Great Q&A from @jeva.bsky.social:

This is just sheer brazen criminality by DOJ. Adams gets federal corruption charges dropped not because there isn’t overwhelming evidence, but because he agrees to help Homan round up migrants. And Homan says the charges will be refiled if Adams doesn’t “come through.”

Perhaps it is worth saying that the difference between $5M and $500B is $500B.
The fact that Deepseek R1 was released three days /before/ Stargate means these guys stood in front of Trump and said they needed half a trillion dollars while they knew R1 was open source and trained for $5M.

Beautiful.
