The Occam’s Razor explanation here is not that Mamdani is secretly MAGA or signed away something in a deal, but that Trump is a moron and very easily manipulated
Q: would you feel comfortable living in NYC under a Mamdani administration ?

TRUMP: I would. I really would.

Do I pay the $10 to read Ryan Lizza’s purple prose about how Olivia hurt him and how he wishes he didn’t have to write this but she left him no choice but to write it and make money off it?

Like I don’t really want to fund the drama but also want the tea. So, it’s a conundrum

Iykyk
Ok second best storyline would be Stefan Lukic fucking it up to hand Pittsburgh the title

Also funny/sad that people think Mamdani has been secretly MAGA this whole time or something
It’s funny/sad that folks want to pretend that it’s charisma or some magic beans that had the orange demon smiling with the mayor elect of NYC.

What is it about the regressive branch of the Democratic Party that is unable to give grace to a BW but will twist themselves into pretzels to make excuses

The Mamdani discourse has been useful in exposing Islamophobes and racists among the Democratic Party

Not that that’s a good thing. Would much rather yall just think an extra second before hitting that “post” button

Players of FC Tulsa and Pittsburgh Riverhounds emerge for the USL final wearing shirts calling for better working conditions. The USLPA want "real wages, safety, healthcare, and year-round support."

"Pro rel? Try pro standards first," reads the message on the shirts.

Super proud of the career Kynala has embarked on since starting as an intern with us back in 2017. One of the reasons we started Madison365 10 years ago was to give careers like hers a start. We need community support to keep doing that, and right now all donations are doubled by NewsMatch!
Here's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Neighborhood Dispatch Editor and former Madison365 intern Kynala Phillips on why you should support Madison365! Catch the full conversation on tomorrow's edition of 365 Amplified on your favorite podcast app. All donations are now doubled at Madison365.org/Donate!

I’m beginning to think the president is a moron
Trump: "THE ONLY HEALTHCARE I'LL SUPPORT OR APPROVE IS SENDING MONEY DIRECTLY BACK TO THE PEOPLE W/ NOTHING GOING TO THE BIG, FAT, RICH INSURANCE COMPANIES, WHO HAVE RIPPED OFF AMERICA LONG ENOUGH. THE PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO NEGOTIATE & BUY THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, INSURANCE. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!"

Splitting hairs on which academic definition of fascism we’re going by today is pretty fucking embarrassing when there are masked goons pulling people off the streets, the President is marshalling the DOJ to target people he dislikes, and conducting extrajudicial killing in international waters.

Mentions a few traits while *focusing* on one trait and ignoring a bunch of others, and failing to acknowledge the aspirations of the current administration
Uh, suppression of dissent and extermination of all pluralist alternatives, and mass mobilization through a single party state, among other important things
Tom is focused here on just one trait of a fascist state - suppression of dissent - ignoring other traits such as media capture, ultranationalism, use of state violence to quash opposition, etc. Ok, the state is not fully fascist yet, but you can’t argue we’re not headed that way.

1. If America were fascist right now, I would not be posting here. Neither would you.

Instead, I - and you - would be trying to build networks of people *offline* who can support and protect each other, in the dark, rather than yelling at the president and his stooges in our own names. /2

It's unethical to charge money for the news
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.
