they have no *legal* authority, and yet

You need to worry less about BlueSky leftists with <100 followers. You just amplified that weirdo’s message to like 100 times more people than would have seen it

Nobody said you're a fascist because of your skin. The point is that we, as a population, NOT AS INDIVIDUALS but as a POPULATOIN, elected the fascist. And thus it is on us - especially those of us who didn't vote for it as individuals - to fight hardest against it.

1995, London. David Letterman is taping an episode of his show here. A group of American college students skip class, don bobby hats and strap a Mr Blobby to their hats in an effort to get let into the audience. They are not let in.

Yes. Me. One of those college students was me. I have no regrets

You have to block them immediately. The full nuclear. They are only here to make folks angry, and that can’t happen if we lock them out.

Do I have any trans followers from Maine who are part of organizing efforts against ICE?

I'm in MA and can travel to report on Maine happenings, but I won't unless I can connect with people on the ground who would know my work and have reason to trust that I won't exploit people or sell them out.

(and yes i'm talking about my kid who's not good at sports and isn't gonna win American Idol but who is, at 13, already a better writer than I am and I do this for a living)

Why not the far more efficient and accessible technology of *fucking letters and numbers*
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

Or, you know, just put their names on their uniforms

No, Trump will veto it and they won’t comply anyway. But if the Dems figured eh he’ll veto it and they won’t comply anyways and therefore didn’t try, you’d complain that the Dems aren’t trying. So, not sure what you want exactly
January 13, 2026 at 5:18 PM
Nah, just trying to mitigate the damage they can do until the defunding and abolishment can actually happen
January 13, 2026 at 3:18 PM
well if they weren't masked perhaps they'd be less inclined to murder people? one hopes at least

Look, Greg Bovino won't see your posts making fun of him, but your very short friends with comically high voices and micropenises will, so

So sure shift from abolish ice to ice out or melt ice or something, and from “defund the police” to “subtly reform policing” or whatever. But in the meantime, take the W and maybe slow down on the chastising over slogans
January 13, 2026 at 1:42 AM
I mean things can “seem pretty clear” without actually being true. I just think we can be a little too quick to scold our teammates from the left and I for one am sick of placating centrists (after having done it myself for 20 years and seeing no good results from it)
January 13, 2026 at 1:42 AM
But is there any evidence the slogan actually hindered the popularity of that policy demand? What you’re sharing here would suggest not
January 13, 2026 at 1:28 AM
Ok so let’s just use that, rather than talking about how we don’t like the other slogan, and criticizing our fellow liberals for slogans that might offend centrists’ delicate sensibilities
